Define Custom Total Fields
Follow these steps to create a user defined total value field as a column in the main EVMax window. Once you create these fields, you can hide or show them in the main EVMax window. You can also include the custom total fields in report outputs.
- Select in the Navigation Menu. The main EVMax window displays.
- Select your project from the dropdown in the Ribbon Menu.
- Select the Admin tab.
- Click in the Ribbon Menu. A Custom Totals dialog box displays.
- Create the custom result fields you need to build a custom total from the list of standard results.
- Enter a for the custom result field.
- Select from the dropdown.
- Select a specific cost code (for example, Budget) or select from the dropdown.
- Select the applicable from the dropdown. Click on the check box at the beginning of each standard Result row to select the results you want to include.
- Click . The custom result field is added to the list of custom result fields you can use to build the expression.
- Create additional custom result fields as needed.
- Create the custom total or expression field.
- Enter a for the custom total field.
- Select from the dropdown.
- Click on the ellipsis button. The Custom Calculation dialog box displays.
- Select the applicable from the dropdown. The available options reflect the custom result fields you created in Step 5.
- Click . The result is added to Expression section.
- Enter your custom calculation in the Expression section. You can also add other custom result fields to build your custom calculations. For example, you could add two custom result fields to create a subtotal.
- Click.
- Create additional custom total fields as needed.
- Click to return to the main EVMax window.
- Add the custom result field or total field as a column in the main EVMax window.
- Right click in a column heading and select . A Customization dialog box displays with a list of available fields.
- Select the custom result field or total field from the list and drag it to the position you want in the column headings.
- Close the Customization dialog box once you have added the columns you want.
- Optional. Save your custom view for future use.
- Click in the Ribbon Menu. The Save View dialog box displays.
- Enter a for your custom view.
- The check box is checked by default. If you want your custom view to be available to other users, leave it checked. Otherwise, click on the box to uncheck it.
- Click . The next time you open the main EVMax window, you can select your custom view from the dropdown in the Ribbon Menu.
